Privacy Policy

Overview
Chromyne for Salons ("Chromyne", "we") is a tool that lets salons generate AI-based style previews on a client's photo, in-salon. This policy explains what information we collect through the salon-facing web app, how it's used, and who else may process it.
Information We Collect
- Salon account information: the salon owner's name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Client data entered by the salon: a client's name, contact information, and photo, added by the salon for the purpose of generating a style preview.
- Generated looks: the AI-generated preview images produced for each client, along with the occasion/style options selected.
How Client Photos Are Used
A client's photo is sent to Google's Gemini API (through our backend) to generate AI style previews, and the resulting images are stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket tied to the salon's account. Client photos are used only to generate previews for that client and are not used for advertising, public sharing, or training AI models.
The salon is responsible for obtaining the client's consent before uploading their photo for AI processing. See our Terms of Service for details.
Session Data and Cookies
When a salon owner signs in, we store an authentication token in the browser's local storage to keep them signed in. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of any kind on this site. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
Third-Party Services
We use the following subprocessors to provide the service:
- Supabase — database and photo storage
- Google Gemini API — AI image generation
Each provider processes data according to its own terms and privacy policy.
Data Retention
Salon account and client data is retained while the salon's account is active. A salon may request deletion of a client's record, their photos, or their entire account at any time by contacting us below.
No Sale of Data
We do not sell salon or client data to third parties.
Children's Privacy
This product is intended for use by salon businesses, not by children. Salons should not use this tool to process photos of clients under the age of consent required by applicable law without appropriate parental or guardian consent.
